Dietary Supplement
Benefits of active ingredients:
Birch
Birch leaves are recommended as a purifier in bacterial and inflammatory diseases of the efferent urinary tract. Their use is effective in the treatment of kidney stones, providing a preventive effect against the formation of renal calculi.
Properties: healing, cholagogic, purifying, diuretic, stimulant, and sudorific.
Guarana
Seeds from the South American guarana shrub are rich in caffeine and related substances. Consequently, they have a stimulating effect on the heart, circulation, and the nervous system. Guarana is considered the plant with the highest caffeine content known, containing between 3 and 6% caffeine, three times more than coffee.
Compared to coffee, the effects of guarana are milder and more moderate. Guarana lacks certain irritants found in coffee, making it healthier and gentler on the stomach.
As a stimulant, guarana enhances concentration and performance, generally reinforcing overall health in cases of fatigue, headaches, menstrual pain, diarrhea, and fever.
Attributed properties of guarana include stimulation, aphrodisiac action, cardiovascular tonic action, combating colic, neuralgia, migraines, and diuretic action. The therapeutic use of caffeine can lead to psychological dependence and withdrawal syndrome. It can also be used in cosmetics, treating oily skin and cellulite. Guarana contains caffeine, proteins, sugars, starch, tannin, potassium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, thiamine, and vitamin A.
Kola Nut
The kola nut is used as a stimulant and contains caffeine, theobromine, colanine, tannin, and anthocyanin.
Its medicinal properties highlight it as an astringent, aphrodisiac, aromatic, diuretic, stimulant, and possible digestive tonic.
The kola nut is recommended for conditions such as alcoholism, asthma, depression, diarrhea, headaches, mental exhaustion, fatigue, neuralgia, and obesity.
Yerba Mate
Studies have detected the presence of many vitamins in yerba mate, including those from the B-complex, vitamin C, and vitamin D, as well as minerals such as calcium, manganese, and potassium. Yerba mate fights free radicals, aids in digestion, and has antirheumatic, diuretic, stimulant, and laxative effects. It is not recommended for individuals suffering from insomnia or nervousness, as it is a natural stimulant. It contains saponin, a component of testosterone, acting on the improvement of libido.
The consumption of yerba mate is also associated with its ability to stimulate physical and mental activity, beneficially affecting nerves and muscles, combating fatigue, providing a sense of satiety without side effects (except in individuals sensitive to the stimulants in yerba mate). Yerba mate also acts on circulation, accelerating heart rate and harmonizing medullary bulb function. It acts as a diuretic and laxative, affecting the digestive tract and facilitating digestion.
L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine plays a crucial role in fat metabolism by transporting long-chain fatty acids to the mitochondria (cellular energy source), contributing to fat combustion. Muscle cell fat metabolism can be improved by adequate doses of carnitine, increasing energy retained by the muscle.
L-Carnitine is a nutrient synthesized from an essential amino acid, lysine, present in all body mitochondria.
The body produces L-Carnitine in small quantities and stores it in most muscle tissue. The richest source of L-Carnitine is meat, especially lamb and red meat. In vegetarian diets, L-Carnitine levels are reduced. Through a balanced diet, 50 to 100mg of L-Carnitine is absorbed daily, with the recommended amount for benefiting from this nutrient's advantages ranging between 250 and 500mg.
Despite our bodies synthesizing this nutrient and its presence in our diet, there are many cases of L-Carnitine deficiency. Thus, in addition to vegetarians, deficiency states include strenuous physical exercise, obesity, pregnancy, male infertility, and/or growing children.
In addition to the overall health benefits of L-Carnitine, the abundant energy it stimulates is beneficial in various ways. Acting directly on muscle tissues, this nutrient is used by athletes to increase endurance, alleviate physical and mental fatigue, promote muscle mass development, and recover from injuries. L-Carnitine is not toxic, does not cause dependence, and is not considered doping, with many professional athletes already using it.
Cardiologically, L-Carnitine helps increase cardiac output, myocardial contraction, ATP production, and heart resistance to physical exercise. It also helps reduce heart rate in stressful situations and likely mitigates the severity of heart attacks and symptoms of heart failure and angina pectoris. L-Carnitine also acts on triglycerides, increasing HDL (good cholesterol) levels.
This nutrient is used in weight loss diets combined with a low-carbohydrate diet; it helps promote weight loss by converting accumulated fat deposits into energy and protecting the body from harmful substances released during this process.
Regarding brain health, L-Carnitine may slow down the aging of brain cells, stimulate concentration, memory, and learning abilities. (In the brain, acetyl-L-Carnitine - a form of L-Carnitine - proves more effective as it penetrates brain cells more easily).
L-Carnitine is also beneficial for liver health, promoting better liver function by increasing protein synthesis. It also helps reduce fatty liver problems.
Green Tea
Green tea is obtained by infusing the Camellia sinensis plant. It is called "green" because the herb leaves undergo minimal oxidation during processing, unlike black tea leaves.
Studies indicate that green tea is rich in antioxidants called polyphenols, preventing the destructive action of free radicals responsible for cell degeneration. It acts in cancer prevention, has anti-aging effects, and aids in fat elimination.
Green tea is also rich in tannin, responsible for reducing LDL (bad cholesterol) levels and strengthening arteries and veins, promoting the prevention of heart and circulatory diseases. Green tea contains bioflavonoids and catechins, substances that block cellular changes that lead to tumors. It also has diuretic effects and is composed of manganese, potassium, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2.
Cocoa
Cocoa has excellent antioxidant capabilities with a relevant role in various diseases. As part of cosmetic compositions, it softens and protects chapped hands and lips. Cocoa beans contain theobromine, an alkaloid with an action similar to caffeine but with a less potent effect on the central nervous system. Theobromine acts more strongly on muscles, kidneys, and the heart, mainly used for diuretic effects. It is especially useful in cases of fluid accumulation in the body resulting from various disorders.
Bitter Orange
Clinical studies show that components of bitter orange accelerate metabolism, promoting increased calorie consumption and, consequently, fat elimination. Bitter orange associates with receptors present in adipose tissue, activating metabolism and fat elimination without interfering with the cardiovascular system.
Green Coffee
The beneficial properties of green coffee were recently discovered. Compared to traditional coffee, green coffee, a potent natural antioxidant, has up to three times more free polyphenols that help fight free radicals, the dreaded culprits of premature skin aging.
Green coffee stands out from regular coffee because it is rich in substances that help detoxify the body, such as kahweol and cafestol. It also plays a role in weight loss. Caffeine helps release fatty acids from stored body fat. "Chlorogenic acid" and its compounds help the liver process fatty acids more efficiently.
